Attention:Theharddiskdriveisverysensitive.Incorrecthandlingcancausedamageandpermanentloss
ofdata.Observethefollowingguidelines:
•Replacetheharddiskdriveonlyifyouupgradeitorhaveitrepaired.Theconnectorsandslotofthehard
diskdrivearenotdesignedforfrequentchangesordriveswapping.
•Donotdroptheharddiskdriveorsubjectittophysicalshocks.Puttheharddiskdriveonamaterial,
suchassoftcloth,thatabsorbsanyphysicalshocks.
•Donotapplypressuretothecoveroftheharddiskdrive.
•Donottouchtheconnector.
•Beforeremovingtheharddiskdrive,makeabackupcopyofalltheinformationonit,andthenturn
offthecomputer.
•Neverremovetheharddiskdrivewhilethecomputerisoperating,insleepmode,orinhibernationmode.
Toreplacetheharddiskdriveunderthebottomcover,dothefollowing:
1.Disconnecttheacpowerfromthecomputerandturnoffthecomputer.Closethecomputerdisplay
andturnthecomputerover.
2.Removetheremovablebattery.See“Replacingtheremovablebattery”onpage115.
3.Removethebottomcover.See“Replacingthebottomcover”onpage118.
4.Pullthetapetotaketheharddiskdrivewithbracketoutofthedrivebay.
5.Insertthenewharddiskdrivewithbracketintothebay.
