Ifyouputyourcomputerintohibernationmodewiththewake-upfunctiondisabled,thecomputerdoes
notconsumeanypower.Thewake-upfunctionisdisabledbydefault.Ifyouputyourcomputerinto
hibernationmodewiththewake-upfunctionenabled,thecomputerconsumesasmallamountofpower.
Toenablethewake-upfunction,dothefollowing:
1.OpenControlPanelandclickSystemandSecurity.
2.ClickAdministrativeTools.
3.ClickTaskScheduler.Ifyouarepromptedforanadministratorpasswordorconfirmation,typethe
passwordorprovideconfirmation.
4.Fromtheleftpane,selectthetaskfolderforwhichyouwanttoenablethewake-upfunction.The
scheduledtasksaredisplayed.
5.Clickascheduledtask,andthenclicktheConditionstab.
6.UnderPower,selectthecheckboxforWakethecomputertorunthistask.
Wirelessoff
Whenyouarenotusingthewirelessfeatures,suchasBluetoothorwireless-LAN,turnthemofftohelp
conservepower.
Connectingtothenetwork
YourcomputerhasoneormorenetworkcardsthatenableyoutoconnectyourcomputertotheInternet
orothernetworkconnections.
Ethernetconnections
Youcanconnectyourcomputertoalocalnetworkorabroadbandconnectionbyusingthebuilt-inEthernet
featureofthecomputer.
DANGER
YourcomputerhasanEthernetconnector.T oavoidtheriskofelectricalshock,donotconnect
thetelephonecabletotheEthernetconnector.
Wirelessconnections
Wirelessconnectionisthetransferofdatawithouttheuseofcablesbutbymeansofradiowavesonly.
Dependingonthewirelessdevicesinstalledonyourcomputer,youmightbeabletousethefollowing
wirelessnetworks:
Wireless-LANconnection
Wireless-WANconnection
Bluetoothconnection
UsingtheAirplanemode
AirplanemodeissupportedontheWindows10operatingsystem.IftheAirplanemodeisenabled,all
wirelessfeaturesaredisabled.
ToenableordisabletheAirplanemode,dothefollowing:
1.OpentheStartmenu,andthenclickSettingsNetwork&InternetAirplanemode.
