•Beforeremovingacard,stopthecardfirst.Otherwise,dataonthecardmightbecorruptedorlost.
•WhiletransferringdatatoorfromanExpressCard,amediacard,orasmartcard,donotputyour
computerintosleeporhibernationmodebeforethedatatransferiscompleted;otherwise,yourdata
couldbecomedamaged.
•Donotremoveacardwhilethecomputerisinsleepmodeorhibernationmode.Otherwise,thesystem
mightnotrespondwhenyoutrytoresumeoperation.
Toremoveacard,dothefollowing:
1.ClickthetriangulariconintheWindowsnotificationareatoshowhiddenicons.Then,right-clickthe
SafelyRemoveHardwareandEjectMediaicon.
2.Selecttheitemyouwanttoremovetostopthecard.
3.Pressthecardtoejectitfromyourcomputer.
4.Removethecardandstoreitsafelyforfutureuse.
Note:Afteryouejectthecardfromtheoperatingsystem,thecardcannolongerbeaccessed.Toaccess
thecard,youmustremoveitfirst,andtheninsertitagain.
Usinganexternaldisplay
Youcanuseanexternaldisplaysuchasaprojectororamonitortogivepresentationsortoexpandyour
workspace.Thistopicintroduceshowtoconnectanexternaldisplay,choosedisplaymodes,andchange
displaysettings.
Yourcomputersupportsthefollowingvideoresolution,iftheexternalmonitoralsosupportsthatresolution.
•Upto3840x2160@60Hz,withanexternaldisplayconnectedtotheThunderbolt3connectororthe
miniDisplayPortconnector.
•Upto3840x2160@30Hz,withanexternaldisplayconnectedtotheHDMIconnector

Connectinganexternaldisplay
Youcanuseeitherawireddisplayorawirelessdisplay.Thewireddisplaycanbeconnectedtoavideo
connectorsuchastheHDMIconnectorandminiDisplayPortconnectorbyacable.Thewirelessdisplaycan
beaddedthroughtheWi-DiorMiracastfunction.

1.Connecttheexternaldisplaytoanappropriatevideoconnectoronyourcomputer,suchasthe
HDMIconnectororminiDisplayPortconnector.
2.Connecttheexternaldisplaytoanelectricaloutlet.
3.Turnontheexternaldisplay.
Ifyourcomputercannotdetecttheexternaldisplay,right-clickonthedesktop,andthenclickScreen
resolution/Displaysettings➙Detect.
