Thefanlouversandtheinternalfanenableairtocirculateinthecomputertoensurepropercooling,
especiallythecoolingofthemicroprocessor.

3AlwaysOnUSBconnector(USB3.0)
Bydefault,theAlwaysOnUSBconnectorenablesyoutochargesomemobiledigitaldevicesand
smartphonesinthefollowingsituations:
•Whenyourcomputerisonorinsleepmode
•Whenyourcomputerisinhibernationmodeoristurnedoff,butconnectedtoacpower
Ifyouwanttochargethesedeviceswhenthecomputerisinhibernationmodeoristurnedoff,andthe
computerisnotconnectedtoacpower,dothefollowing:
•ForWindows
®
7:StartthePowerManagerprogram,clicktheGlobalPowerSettingstab,andthen
followtheinstructionsonthescreen.
•ForWindows10:StarttheLenovoSettingsprogram,clickPower,andthenfollowtheinstructionson
thescreen.

Attention:WhenyouattachaUSBcabletothisconnector,ensurethattheUSBmarkisfacingupward.
Otherwisetheconnectormightgetdamaged.
4Comboaudioconnector
Tolistentothesoundfromyourcomputer,connectheadphonesoraheadsetthathasa3.5mm,4-poleplug
tothecomboaudioconnector.
Notes:
•Ifyouareusingaheadsetwithafunctionswitch,donotpressthisswitchwhileusingtheheadset.If
youpressit,theheadsetmicrophonewillbedisabled,andtheintegratedmicrophonesonthecomputer
willbeenabledinstead.
•Thecomboaudioconnectordoesnotsupportaconventionalmicrophone.Formoreinformation,see
