Beforeyoustart,printtheseinstructions.

Attention:

•Theprocessofinstallinganewoperatingsystemdeletesallthedataonyourinternalstoragedrive,

includingthedatathatwerestoredinahiddenfolder.

ToinstalltheWindows10operatingsystem,dothefollowing:

1.StarttheThinkPadSetupprogram.See“UsingtheThinkPadSetupprogram”onpage57.

2.SelectStartup➙BoottodisplaytheBootPriorityOrdersubmenu.

3.Selectthedrivethatcontainstheoperatingsysteminstallationprogram,forexampleUSBHDD.

4.PresstheF10keytoexittheThinkPadSetupprogram.

5.Connectthedrivethatcontainstheoperatingsysteminstallationprogramtothecomputer,andrestart

thecomputer.

6.Installthedevicedriversandnecessaryprograms.See“Installingdevicedrivers”onpage57.

7.Afterinstallingthedevicedrivers,applyWindowsUpdatetogetthelatestmodules,forexamplethe

securitypatches.

8.Dependingonyourpreference,installLenovoprograms.ForinformationaboutLenovoprograms,

see“Lenovoprograms”onpage11.
