Carefullyreadthistopicbeforeservicingthecomputer.
Disablingthebuilt-inbatteries
BeforereplacinganyFRU,ensurethatyouhavedisabledthebuilt-inbatteriesbydoingthefollowing:
1.Disconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcablesfromthecomputer.
2.Restartthecomputer.WhentheLenovologoisdisplayed,pressF1tostarttheThinkPadSetupprogram.
3.GotoConfig➙Power➙Disablebuilt-inbattery.
4.PressEnter.ASetupConfirmationwindowisdisplayed.
5.SelectYesintheSetupConfirmationwindow.Thebuilt-inbatteriesaredisabledandthecomputerturns
offautomatically.Waitforafewminutestoletthecomputercool.
RemovingthemicroSIMcard
SomemodelsyouareservicingmighthaveamicroSIMcardthatacustomerhasinstalled.Ifthecomputer
youareservicinghasamicroSIMcardinstalled,removeitbeforeyoustarttheservicing.

Afteryoufinishtheservicing,ensurethatyouinstallthecardbackintothemicro-SIM-cardtrayfirmly.
