Lenovoencouragesyoutomakeefficientuseofenergyanintegralpartofyourday-to-dayoperations.To
helpinthisendeavor,Lenovohaspresetthefollowingpower-managementfeaturestotakeeffectwhenthe
computerhasbeeninactiveforaspecifiedlengthoftime:
Powerplan:Default
Turnoffthedisplay:After10minutes
Putthecomputerintosleep:After20minutes
Toawakenthecomputerfromsleepmode,presstheFnkeyonyourkeyboard.Formoreinformationabout
thesesettings,seetheWindowsHelpandSupportinformationaboutthecomputer.
TheWakeonLANfunctionisenabledwhenyourLenovocomputerisshippedfromthefactory,andthe
settingremainsvalidevenwhenthecomputerisinsleepmode.IfyoudonotneedtohaveWakeonLAN
enabledwhilethecomputerisinsleepmode,youcanreducethepowerconsumptionandprolongthetime
insleepmode,bydisablingthesettingofWakeonLANforsleepmode.
TodisablethesettingofWakeonLANforsleepmode,dothefollowing:
1.GotoControlPanelandclickHardwareandSoundDeviceManager.
2.IntheDeviceManagerwindow,expandNetworkadapters.
3.Right-clickyournetworkadapterdevice,andclickProperties.
4.ClickthePowerManagementtab.
