Bydefault,theAlwaysOnUSB3.0connectorenablesyoutochargesomemobiledigitaldevicesand
smartphonesinthefollowingsituations:
•Whenyourcomputerisonorinsleepmode
•Whenyourcomputerisinhibernationmodeoristurnedoff,butconnectedtoacpower
Ifyouwanttochargethesedeviceswhenthecomputerisinhibernationmodeoristurnedoff,andthe
computerisnotconnectedtoacpower,dothefollowing:

Connectthecomputertoalocalareanetwork(LAN)withtheEthernetconnector.

Toavoidtheriskofelectricalshock,donotconnectthetelephonecabletotheEthernetconnector.
YoucanonlyconnectanEthernetcabletothisconnector.
TheEthernetconnectorhastwoindicatorsthatshowthestatusofthenetworkconnection.Whenthe
greenindicatorison,thecomputerisconnectedtoaLAN.Whentheyellowindicatorblinks,dataisbeing
transmitted.
Note:Ifthecomputerisconnectedtoadockingstation,usetheEthernetconnectoronthedockingstation
insteadoftheoneonthecomputer.
