4Cameraindicator
Whenthecameraindicatorison,theinfraredcameraisintherecognitionmode.
Tosettheinfraredcameraforfaceauthentication,dothefollowing:
1.OpentheStartmenuandclickSettings➙Accounts➙Sign-inoptions.
2.FollowtheinstructionsonthescreentocreateaPersonalIdentificationNumber(PIN).
3.ClicktheSetupbuttonunderFaceRecognitionandchooseGetStarted.
4.EnterthePINyouhavesetearlier.Thecamerapreviewstarts.
5.Positionyourcomputerinlandscape(cameraatthetop)andplaceyourfacerightinfrontoftheinfrared
camera.Keepadistanceofabout30cmto75cm(11.8inchesto29.5inches)awayfromthefrontof
theinfraredcameraduringthescanning.Thebarunderthepreviewimageindicatestheprocess.
YoucanclickImproveRecognitiontoimprovetheimage.SothatWindowsHellocanrecognizeyouin
differentambientlightorwhenyourappearancechanges.
Tousetheinfraredcameratounlockyourcomputer,dothefollowing:
1.Positionyourcomputerinlandscape(cameraatthetop)andplaceyourfacerightinfrontoftheinfrared
camera.Keepadistanceofabout30cmto75cm(11.8inchesto29.5inches)awayfromthefront
oftheinfraredcamera.
2.Followtheinstructionsonthescreenandensurethatyouarecenteredandlookingdirectlyatthe
camera.Whentheprogramrecognizesyourface,itunlocksthescreenandsignsyouintotheWindows
operatingsystemautomatically.
UsinganExpressCard,amediacard,orasmartcard
YourcomputerhasanExpressCardslotandamedia-cardslot.Dependingonthemodel,yourcomputer
mightalsohaveasmart-cardslot.
