Problem:Ispillsomethingonthecomputer.

Solution:Becausemostliquidsconductelectricity,liquidspilledonthekeyboardcouldcreatenumerous

shortcircuitsanddamageyourcomputer.Tosolvetheproblem,dothefollowing:

1.Ensurethatnoliquidcreatesashortcircuitbetweenyouandtheacpoweradapter(ifinuse).

2.Carefullyunplugtheacpoweradapterimmediately.

3.Turnoffthecomputerimmediately.Ifthecomputerdoesnotturnoff,removetheremovablebattery.The

morequicklyyoustopthecurrentfrompassingthroughthecomputerthemorelikelyyouwillreduce

damagefromshortcircuits.

Attention:Althoughyoumightlosesomedataorworkbyturningoffthecomputerimmediately,leaving

thecomputeronmightmakeyourcomputerunusable.

4.Waituntilyouarecertainthatalltheliquidisdrybeforeturningonyourcomputer.

Errormessages

•Message:0177:BadSVPdata,stopPOSTtask.

Solution:ChecksumofthesupervisorpasswordintheEEPROMisnotcorrect.Thesystemboard

shouldbereplaced.Havethecomputerserviced.

•Message:0183:BadCRCofSecuritySettingsinEFIVariable.EnterThinkPadSetup.

Solution:ChecksumoftheSecuritysettingsintheEFIVariableisnotcorrect.EnterThinkPadSetup

tochecksecuritysettings,pressF10,andthenpressEntertorestartthesystem.Ifyoustillhavea

problem,havethecomputerserviced.

•Message:0187:EAIAdataaccesserror

Solution:TheaccesstoEEPROMisfailed.Havethecomputerserviced.

•Message:0188:InvalidRFIDSerializationInformationArea

Solution:TheEEPROMchecksumisnotcorrect(block#0and1).Thesystemboardshouldbereplaced,

andtheboxserialnumbermustbereinstalled.Havethecomputerserviced.

•Message:0189:InvalidRFIDconﬁgurationinformationarea

Solution:TheEEPROMchecksumisnotcorrect(block#4and5).Thesystemboardshouldbereplaced,

andtheuniversallyuniqueidentiﬁer(UUID)mustbereinstalled.Havethecomputerserviced.

•Message:0190:Criticallow-batteryerror

Solution:Thecomputerturnedoffbecausethebatterypowerislow.Connecttheacpoweradapterto

thecomputerandchargethebatteries.

•Message:0191:SystemSecurity-Invalidremotechangerequested

Solution:Thesystemconﬁgurationchangehasfailed.Conﬁrmtheoperationandtryagain.Toclearthe

error,enterThinkPadSetup.

•Message:0199:SystemSecurity-Securitypasswordretrycountexceeded.

Solution:Thismessageisdisplayedifyouenterawrongsupervisorpasswordmorethanthreetimes.

Conﬁrmthesupervisorpasswordandtryagain.Tocleartheerror,enterThinkPadSetup.

•Message:0270:RealTimeClockError.

Solution:SystemRealTimeClockisnotfunctional.Havethecomputerserviced.

•Message:0271:CheckDateandTimesettings.

Solution:Thedateorthetimeisnotsetinthecomputer.EnterThinkPadSetupandsetthedateandtime.

•Message:1802:Unauthorizednetworkcardispluggedin-Poweroffandremovethenetworkcard.
