Ifyourcomputerhasacamera,youcanusethecameratopreviewyourvideoimageandtakeasnapshot
ofyourcurrentimage.
Tostartthecamera,dothefollowing:
•ForWindows7:StarttheCommunicationsUtilityprogram.See“AccessingLenovoprograms”on
page12.
•ForWindows10:OpentheStartmenuandclickCamera.
Whenthecameraisstarted,theindicatoristurnedoningreen,indicatingthatthecameraisinuse.
Youalsocanusetheintegratedcamerawithotherprogramsthatprovidefeaturessuchasphotographing,
videocapturing,andvideoconferencing.Tousetheintegratedcamerawithotherprograms,openoneofthe
programsandstartthephotographing,videocapturing,orvideoconferencingfunction.Then,thecamera
startsautomaticallyandthegreencamerastatusindicatorturnson.Formoreinformationaboutusingthe
camerawithaprogram,seethehelpinformationsystemoftheprogram.
Configuringcamerasettings
Youcanconfigurethecamerasettingstomeetyourneeds,suchasadjustingthequalityofthevideooutput.
Toconfigurethecamerasettings,dothefollowing:
•ForWindows7:StarttheCommunicationsUtilityprogramandconfigurethecamerasettingsasdesired.
•ForWindows10:Dooneofthefollowing:
–OpentheCameraapp,andclickthesettingsiconintheupper-rightcorner.Followtheinstructionson
thescreentoconfigurethecamerasettingsasdesired.
–OpentheStartmenuandthenclickLenovoSettings➙Camera.Followtheinstructionsonthe
screentoconfigurethecamerasettings.
Usingamediacardorasmartcard
Yourcomputerhasamedia-cardslot.Dependingonthemodel,yourcomputermightalsohavea
smart-cardslot.
