Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoreplacethefrontfanassembly.
Note:Thefrontfanassemblyisonlyavailableinsomemodels.
Toreplacethefrontfanassembly,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputeranddisconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
2.Removethecomputercover.See“Removingthecomputercover”onpage34.
3.Removethefrontbezel.See“Removingandreinstallingthefrontbezel”onpage35.
4.Disconnectthefrontfanassemblycablefromthepowerfanconnectoronthesystemboard.See
“Locatingpartsonthesystemboard”onpage13.
5.Thefrontfanassemblyisattachedtothechassisbyfourrubbermounts.Removethefrontfanassembly
bybreakingorcuttingtherubbermountsandgentlypullingthefrontfanassemblyoutofthechassis.
Note:Thenewfrontfanassemblywillhavefournewrubbermountsattached.
