Thischapterprovidesageneralroadmaptoguideyouthroughsettingupyourserver.
Theserversetupprocedurevariesdependingonthecongurationoftheserverwhenitwasdelivered.In
somecases,theserverisfullyconguredandyoujustneedtoconnecttheservertothenetworkandanac
powersource,andthenyoucanturnontheserver.Inothercases,theserverneedstohavehardwaredevices
installed,requireshardwareandrmwareconguration,andrequiresanoperatingsystemtobeinstalled.
Thegeneralprocedureforsettingupyourserveris:

2.Installanyrequiredhardwareorserveroptions.SeetherelatedtopicsinChapter6“Installing,removing,

3.Installtheserverintoastandardrackcabinetbyusingtherailkitshippedwiththeserver.SeetheRack
