Replacement procedure
1. Remove the computer cover. See “Computer cover” on page 55.
2. Remove the internal speaker, if any. See “Internal speaker” on page 56.
3. Disconnect the system fan cable from the system fan connector on the system board.
4. Remove the system fan.
5. Install the system fan.
6. Connect the system fan cable to the system fan connector on the system board.
7. Reinstall all removed parts.
Coin-cell battery
Prerequisite
Before you start, read Appendix B “Important safety information” on page 75 and print the following
instructions.
Your computer has a special type of memory that maintains the date, time, and settings for built-in features,
such as parallel connector assignments (configurations). A coin-cell battery keeps this information active
when you turn off the computer.
