Changingorremovingaharddiskpassword
Followsteps1through7in“Settingaharddiskpassword”onpage91above,typingyourpasswordtoget
accesstotheThinkPadSetupprogram.
TochangeorremovetheUseronlyharddiskpassword,doasfollows:
•Tochangetheharddiskpassword,typethecurrentpasswordintheEnterCurrentPasswordeld.Then
typethenewpasswordintheEnterNewPasswordeld,andretypethepasswordyoujustenteredto
verifyitintheConrmNewPasswordeld.PressEnter,andaSetupNoticewindowisdisplayed.Press
F10toexitfromtheSetupNoticewindow.Theuserharddiskpasswordwillbechanged.
•Toremovetheharddiskpassword,typethecurrentpasswordintheEnterCurrentPasswordeld.
ThenleavetheEnterNewPasswordandConrmNewPasswordeldsblank,andpressEnter.A
