Solution:Pressandholdthepowerswitchfor4secondsorovertoturnoffyourcomputer;thenturn
itonagain.
•Problem:Missing,discolored,orbrightdotsappearonthescreeneverytimeyouturnonyourcomputer.
Solution:ThisisanintrinsiccharacteristicoftheTFTtechnology.Yourcomputer'sdisplaycontains
multiplethin-lmtransistors(TFTs).Asmallnumberofmissing,discolored,orbrightdotsonthescreen
mightexistallthetime.
Externalmonitorproblems
•Problem:Theexternalmonitorisblank.
Solution:Tobringuptheimage,pressFn+F7andselectthedesiredmonitor.Iftheproblempersists,
dothefollowing:
1.Connecttheexternalmonitortoanothercomputertomakesureitworks.
2.Reconnecttheexternalmonitortoyourcomputer.
3.Refertothemanualshippedwiththeexternalmonitortochecktheresolutionsandrefreshratesthat
aresupported.
–Iftheexternalmonitorsupportsthesameresolutionasthecomputerdisplayorahigherresolution,
viewoutputontheexternalmonitororonboththeexternalmonitorandthecomputerdisplay.
–Iftheexternalmonitorsupportsalowerresolutionthanthecomputerdisplay,viewoutputonthe
externalmonitoronly.(Ifyouviewoutputontheboththecomputerdisplayandtheexternal
monitor,theexternalmonitorscreenwillbeblankordistorted.)
•Problem:Youcannotsetahigherresolutionthanthepresentoneonyourexternalmonitor.
Solution:
–Makesurethatmonitorinformationiscorrect.Dothefollowing:

1.Right-clickonthedesktop,andclickScreenresolution.
