Volumeandmutebuttons
Youcanadjustthesoundlevelofthebuilt-inspeakersbyusingthefollowingthreebuttons:
Ifyoumutethesoundandthenturnoffyourcomputer,thesoundwillremainmutedwhenyouturnonyour
computeragain.Toturnonthesound,presstheplus(+)orminus(-)button.
Settingthevolume
Eachdevicehasvolumecontrols,whichyoucanset.
Toopenthewindowforadjustingtheoutputvolumeortherecordingvolume,dothefollowing:
ForWindows7andWindowsVista:
1.ClickStartControlPanelHardwareandSoundSound.TheSoundwindowappears.
2.ClickthePlaybacktaborRecordingtab,andthenclickadevice,whichyouwanttocustomize.
3.ClickthePropertiesbutton.
4.ClicktheLevelstab,andthenchangethevolumebymovingtheslider.
ForWindowsXP:
1.ClickStartControlPanelSounds,Speech,andAudioDevicesSoundsandAudioDevice.
TheSoundsandAudioDevicePropertieswindowappears.
2.ClicktheAudiotab,andthenclicktheVolumebuttoninSoundPlaybackorSoundRecording.
Notes:
Youcanalsogetaccesstothedesktopvolumecontrolbyusingthevolumeiconinthetaskbaratthe
lowerrightofthescreen.ToopentheVolumeControlwindow,clickthevolumeicon.Tocontrolthe
volume,movethevolumecontrolsliderupordown.Toturnoffthesound,selectMutespeakers(in
WindowsVistaandWindowsXP ,Mute).
Thenamesofwindowsoreldsareslightlydifferentdependingontheoperatingsystemyouuse.
