Youcanalsousetheintegratedcamerawithotherprogramsthatprovidefeaturessuchasphotographing,
videocapturing,andvideoconferencing.Tousetheintegratedcamerawithotherprograms,openoneofthe
programsandstartthephotographing,videocapturing,orvideoconferencingfunction.Then,thecamerawill
startautomaticallyandthegreencamera-in-useindicatorwillturnon.Formoreinformationaboutusingthe
camerawithaprogram,refertothedocumentationthatcamewiththeprogram.
IfyoudonotwantthecameratobelaunchedautomaticallywhenyoupressFn+F6orwhenyouusea
program,pressFn+F6toopentheCommunicationssettingswindowandclicktheHidemycameraimage
buttontodisablethecamera.
Conguringcamerasettings
Youcancongurethecamerasettingstomeetyourneeds,suchasadjustingthequalityofthevideooutput.
Tocongurethecamerasettings,dothefollowing:
1.PressFn+F6.TheCommunicationssettingswindowopens.
2.ClicktheManageSettingsbutton.TheCommunicationsUtilitywindowopens.
3.IntheCommunicationsUtilitywindow,congurethecamerasettingsdependingonyourindividual
needs.
UsingtheThinkLightfeature
YoucanuseyourcomputerunderlessthanperfectlightingconditionsbyenablingtheThinkLightfeature.To
illuminatethekeyboardbyturningonyourThinkLight,pressFn+PgUp.
Note:Avoidusingyourcomputerindarkconditionsforprolongedperiods.Itisbadforyoureyes.
Note:ThinkLightisnotavailableinThinkPadX220TabletandX220iTabletmodels.
Usingthemediacardreader
Dependingonthemodel,yourcomputermayhaveanExpressCardslotfora54mm-widecard,amedia
cardreaderslot,orasmartcardreaderslot.
Ifyourcomputerhasamediacardreaderslot,itsupportsthefollowingcards:
•SDcard
•SDHCcard
•SDXCcard
•MultiMediaCard(MMC)
Notes:
•YourcomputerdoesnotsupporttheCPRMfeaturefortheSDcard.
•Whentransferringdatatoorfromaashmediacard,suchasanSDcard,donotputyourcomputer
