Connecting USB device
YoucanconnectaUSBdevicetoyourcomputerbyinsertingitsUSBplug(TypeA)intotheUSB
portonyourcomputer.
ThefirsttimeyouplugaUSBdeviceintoaparticularUSBportonyourcomputer,Windows
automaticallyinstallsadriverforthatdevice.Afterthedriverhasbeeninstalled,youcan
disconnectandreconnectthedevicewithoutperforminganyadditionalsteps.
Note: Typically,Windowsdetectsanewdeviceafterithasbeenconnected,andtheninstallsthedriver
automatically.However,somedevicesmayrequireyoutoinstallthedriverbeforeconnecting.Check
thedocumentationprovidedbythedevice’smanufacturerbeforeconnectingthedevice.
BeforedisconnectingaUSBstoragedevice,makesureyourcomputerhasfinishedtransferring
datatothatdevice.ClicktheSafelyRemoveHardwareandEjectMediaiconintheWindows
notificationareatoremovethedevicebeforedisconnecting .
Note: IfyourUSBdeviceusesapowercord,connectthedevicetoapowersourcebeforeconnectingit.
Otherwise,thedevicemaynotberecognized.
