The Golden Key U1 tool is prepared by running the U1 Update software on a FAT32-formatted USB thumb
drive. Go to

and use a Goldern Key U1 tool.

Make sure the following FRUs (CRUs) have been removed.
“Remove the lower case” on page 35

“Remove the Wi-Fi card” on page 38

“Remove the fan” on page 40
“Remove the touchpad cable” on page 46

Step 1. Remove the fingerprint board cable.

Step 2. Peel off the pieces of tape.
