What Your Service Provider Will Do to Correct Problems
WhenyoucontactaServiceProvider,youmustfollowthespecifiedproblem
determinationandresolutionprocedures.
TheServiceProviderwillattempttodiagnoseandresolveyourproblemby
telephone,emailorremoteassistance.TheServiceProvidermaydirectyouto
downloadandinstalldesignatedsoftwareupdates.
Someproblemsmayberesolvedwithareplacementpartthatyouinstall
yourselfcalleda“CustomerReplaceableUnit”or“CRU”.Ifso,theService
ProviderwillshiptheCRUtoyouforyoutoinstall.
Ifyourproblemcannotberesolvedoverthetelephone;throughtheapplication
ofsoftwareupdatesortheinstallationofaCRU,theServiceProviderwill
arrangeforserviceunderthetypeofwarrantyservicedesignatedforthe
productunder
Part3‐WarrantyServiceInformation
below.
IftheServiceProviderdeterminesthatitisunabletorepairyourproduct,the
ServiceProviderwillreplaceitwithonethatisatleastfunctionallyequivalent.
IftheServiceProviderdeterminesthatitisunabletoeitherrepairorreplace
yourproduct,yoursoleremedyunderthisLimitedWarrantyistoreturnthe
producttoyourplaceofpurchaseortoLenovoforarefundofyourpurchase
price.
Replacement Products and Parts
Whenwarrantyserviceinvolvesthereplacementofaproductorpart,the
replacedproductorpartbecomesLenovo’spropertyandthereplacement
productorpartbecomesyourproperty.OnlyunalteredLenovoproductsand
partsareeligibleforreplacement.Thereplacementproductorpartprovidedby
Lenovomaynotbenew,but
itwillbeingoodworkingorderandatleast
functionallyequivalenttotheoriginalproductorpart.Thereplacement
productorpartshallbewarrantedforthebalanceoftheperiodremainingon
theoriginalproduct.
