drivetothefactorydefaultsettings.
Note:IfyouareunabletoaccesstheOneKeyRecoveryProworkspaceortheWindowsenvironmentfrom
arescuemediumorrecoverymedium,youmightnothavetherescuedevice(aninternalharddiskdrive,
adisc,aUSBharddiskdrive,orotherexternaldevices)setastherstbootdeviceinthestartupdevice
sequence.Youmustrstmakesurethatyourrescuedeviceissetastherstbootdeviceinthestartup
devicesequenceintheBIOSprogram.GototheStartup➙Bootmenutotemporarilyorpermanently
changethestartupdevicesequence.
Itisimportanttocreatearescuemediumandasetofrecoverymediaasearlyaspossibleandstorethem
inasafeplaceforfutureuse.
UsingtheWindowsrecoveryprogramontheWindows8operating
system
Yourcomputercomewithabuilt-inrecoveryprogramprovidedbyWindows.OntheWindows8operating
system,theprogramenablesyoutodothefollowing:
•Refreshingyourcomputersettings
Therefreshingenablesyoutorestoreyourcomputersettingstofactorycontentsonly,withoutremoving
allthepersonaldataandapplicationsthatyouhaveinstalledfromWindowsStore.
Torefreshyourcomputersettings,dothefollowing:
1.Moveyourcursortothebottomrightcornerofthescreentobringupthecharms.ThenclickSettings

2.IntheRefreshyourPCwithoutaffectingyourlessection,clickGetstarted.Thenfollowthe
on-screeninstructionstorefreshyourcomputersettings.
•Resettingyourcomputersettings
Whenyouusetherecoveryprogramtoresetyourcomputersettings,allthedatayouhavestoredonthe
harddiskdrivewillbedeletedandthecomputersettingswillberestoredtothefactorydefaultsettings.
Attention:Toavoiddataloss,backupallthedatathatwillbeinuselater.
Toresetyourcomputersettings,dothefollowing:
1.Moveyourcursortothebottomrightcornerofthescreentobringupthecharms.ThenclickSettings

2.IntheRemoveeverythingandreinstallWindowssection,clickGetstarted.Thenfollowthe
on-screeninstructionstoresetyourcomputersettings.
Note:Afterrestoringyourcomputersettingstothefactorycontents,youmightneedtoreinstallthe
driversforsomedevices.
•Advancedstartupoptions
Advancedstartupoptionsenableyoutostartupfromanexternaldriveordisc,changeyourcomputer
settings,changethestartupsettingsoftheWindowsoperatingsystem,orrestoretheWindowsoperating
systemfromasystemimage.
Tousetheadvancedstartupoption,dothefollowing:
1.Moveyourcursortothebottomrightcornerofthescreentobringupthecharms.ThenclickSettings
