•Problem:SounddoesnotcomefromtheBluetoothheadset/headphonebutcomesfromthelocal
speakereventhoughtheBluetoothheadset/headphoneisconnectedusingaHeadsetproleorAVprole.
Solution:Dothefollowing:
1.Exittheapplicationthatusesthesounddevice(forexample,WindowsMediaPlayer).
2.OpenControlPanelandclickHardwareandSound➙Sound➙Playback.
3.IfyouareusingaHeadsetprole,selectBluetoothHands-freeAudioandclicktheSetDefault
button.IfyouareusinganAVprole,selectStereoAudioandclicktheSetDefaultbutton.
4.ClickOKtoclosetheSoundwindow.
•Problem:PIMitemssentfromtheWindows7operatingsystemscannotbereceivedcorrectlyintothe
addressbookofanyotherBluetooth-enableddevice.
Solution:TheWindows7operatingsystemsendsPIMitemsinXMLformat,butmostBluetooth-enabled
deviceshandlePIMitemsinvCardformat.IfanotherBluetooth-enableddevicecanreceivealethrough
Bluetooth,aPIMitemsentfromtheWindows7mightbesavedasalewiththeextension.contact.

–Whenthecomputeristurnedon

–WhentheTrackPointpointingdeviceiskeptpressedforalongtime

•Problem:TheTrackPointpointingdeviceortrackpaddoesnotwork.
Solution:EnsurethattheTrackPointpointingdeviceortrackpadisenabledintheMouseProperties
window.
Keyboardproblems
•Problem:Allorsomekeysonthekeyboarddonotwork.
Solution:Ifanexternalnumerickeypadisconnected:
1.Turnoffthecomputer.
2.Removetheexternalnumerickeypad.
3.Turnonthecomputerandtryusingthekeyboardagain.
Ifthekeyboardproblemisresolved,carefullyreconnecttheexternalnumerickeypadandtheexternal
keyboard.Makesurethatyouhaveseatedtheconnectorscorrectly.
Iftheproblempersists,makesurethatthecorrectdevicedriverisinstalledbydoingthefollowing:
1.OpenControlPanel.ChangetheviewofControlPanelfromCategorytoLargeiconsorSmallicons.
2.ClickKeyboard.
3.SelecttheHardwaretab.IntheDevicePropertiespane,makesurethatyouseethismessage:
DeviceStatus:Thisdeviceisworkingproperly.
