ofthecomputer,youcanhelpreducetheconsumptionofelectricity.Reducedelectricalconsumption

cancontributetopotentialnancialsavings,acleanerenvironment,andthereductionofgreenhousegas

emissions.

Lenovoencouragesyoutomakeefcientuseofenergyanintegralpartofyourday-to-dayoperations.To

helpinthisendeavor,Lenovohaspresetthefollowingpower-managementfeaturestotakeeffectwhenthe

computerhasbeeninactiveforaspeciedlengthoftime:

Powerplan:EnergySaver(settingswhenpluggedintoacpower)

•Turnoffthedisplay:After10minutes

•Putthecomputerintosleep:After20minutes

•Advancedpowersettings:

–Turnoffharddisks:After15minutes

–Hibernate:Never

Toawakenthecomputerfromsleepmode,pressFnonyourkeyboard.Formoreinformationaboutthese

settings,seetheWindowsHelpandSupportinformationonthecomputer.

TheWakeonLANfunctionisenabledwhenyourLenovocomputerisshippedfromthefactory,andthe

settingremainsvalidevenwhenthecomputerisinsleepmode.IfyoudonotneedtohaveWakeonLAN

enabledwhilethecomputerisinsleepmode,youcanreducethepowerconsumptionandprolongthetime

insleepmode,bydisablingthesettingofWakeonLANforsleepmode.

TodisablethesettingofWakeonLANforsleepmode,dothefollowing:

1.ClickStart➙Controlpanel.

2.ClickHardwareandSound➙DeviceManager.
