Thischaptercoversthetouchpadusageandextendedfeaturesettings,aswellasthedriverupdateprocess.
Usingthetouchpad
Whensettingsareatthefactorydefaultvalues,thefollowingoperationscanbeperformedwiththetouchpad.

Movethemouse
pointer
Touchthetouchpadandmoveyourfingerinthedirectionasdesiredtomovethemousepointer.
Click
Pressandimmediatelyreleaseanypartofthetouchpadexceptthelowerrightpartortapa
fingertipagainstthetouchpad.
Right-click
Pressandimmediatelyreleasethelowerrightpartofthetouchpad.
Double-click
Movethepointertoaniconorfolderandquicklyclicktwiceorquicklytappingthetouchpadtwice.
Drag
Movethepointertoaniconorafolder,pressthetouchpad,andmoveyourfingeronthe
touchpadwhilecontinuingtopressthetouchpad.
T apthetouchpadwiththepointeralignedonthetarget,andthentouchthetouchpadagain
andmoveyourfinger.
ScrollClicktheapplicationwindowdisplayingthescrollbarandtouchtwopointsonthetouchpad.
Thetwopointsshouldbeslightlyseparatedfromeachother.Moveyourtwofingersinthe
directionyouwanttomovethescrollbar.
Zoom
Clicktheapplicationwindowthatyouwanttozoomintoorzoomoutfrom,andtouchtwopoints
onthetouchpad.Whilekeepingyourfingersinthesameplace,youcanzoominorzoomout
bywideningornarrowingthedistancebetweenyourfingers.
Rotate
Clicktheapplicationwindowthatyouwanttorotate,andtouchtwopointsonthetouchpad.
Whilekeepingyourfingersinthesameplace,rotateandtwistthetwofingers.
Notes:
Scroll,zoom,androtationarenotsupportedbysomeapplications.
Tappingthetouchpadtoproduceaclickordouble-clickiscalledtappingordoubletapping.
Configuringthetouchpad
Configurationofthetouchpadbuttons,pointerbehavior,andextendedfeaturesisdoneusingtheMouse

1.ClickControlPanel.
2.ClickHardwareandSound,andclickMouseinDevicesandPrinters.TheMousePropertieswindow
shouldcomeup.ClickoneachtabintheMousePropertieswindowtochangethetouchpadsettings.
