Toreplacetheharddiskdrive,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandthecomputer.Then,disconnect
allpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtothecomputer.
2.Openthecomputercover.See“Openingthecomputercover”onpage12.
3.Disconnectthepowercablefromtheopticaldriverst.
4.Pressinwardonthesidetabsoftheharddiskdrivebracket.Placeyourngeronthetablocatedon
thefrontoftheharddiskdrivebracketandthenpivottheharddiskdriveupwardtoremoveitfrom
theharddiskdrivebay.

5.Disconnectthesignalcableandthepowercablefromtherearoftheharddiskdrive.
6.Flexthesidesoftheharddiskdrivebracketproperlytoremovetheharddiskdriveoutofthebracket.
7.Toinstallthenewharddiskdriveintothebracket,exthebracketandalignpin1,pin2,pin3,andpin
4onthebracketwiththecorrespondingholesintheharddiskdrive.Donottouchthecircuitboard5
onthebottomoftheharddiskdrive.

8.Connectthesignalcableandthepowercabletotherearofthenewharddiskdrive.
9.Slidethenewharddiskdriveintotheharddiskdrivebayandpivotitdownuntilitsnapsintoposition.
