Verifythat:
•Thestartupsequenceincludesthedevicewheretheoperatingsystemresides.
Usually,theoperatingsystemisontheharddiskdrive.Formoreinformation,

.
Note:ForSMCcomputers,youmightreceivetheerrormessage“Nooperating
systemfound.PressF1torepeatbootsequence.”Inthiscase,press
Ctrl+Alt+DeleteinsteadofF1toestablishaconnectiontothestorageareanetwork
whereyouroperatingsystemisstored.Verifythattheusernameisnotlogged
oninanotherlocation.
TheSMCloginprompt
disappearsbeforeyoulog
onandthenablackscreen
displays(forSMCcomputers
only).
Verifythatyourcomputerdoesnotturnoffduetoinactivity.SMCwillautomatically
turnoffaninactivecomputer.Ifyourcomputerturnsoffautomatically,turnonthe
computerandlogon.Contactyouradministratorifyoucannotcorrecttheproblem.
Thecomputerbeepsmultiple
timesbeforetheoperating
systemstarts.
Verifythatnokeysarestuck.
