FAQ
If application is not successfully installed do we get an error or will status show
as error? OR How to verify the SecureMind Application is installed properly?
Answer:
The installation will not be successful if the installation file is corrupted or if you have selected the wrong
installation file. When you select a wrong installation file, the
Unable to install the software update
message is displayed.
Select the appropriate installation file with the .tgz extension and verify the following:
1. is displayed on the Common screen.
2. Click to open the application.
The IP camera is not available in the list, when ‘Search Camera’ is performed.
Answer:
1. The IP camera may not be supported by the application. In this case it cannot be added to the
application.
2. The search camera functionality will not find the IP camera on the network, if the IP camera does not
support the UPnP or ONVIF protocol.
3. The search camera functionality will not find the IP camera on the network, if the IP camera does not
support the UPnP or ONVIF discovery or the support (UPnP or ONVIF discovery) is not enabled.
4. Depending on the network, the search camera functionality may take some time to find and list the
camera. Perform the search once again after few minutes.
Unable to add camera to the application.
Answer:
1. Provided Wrong IP address, user name, or password. The following message is displayed:
‘Failed to establish communication with camera’
Verify if the camera Web page is accessible at the given IP address and the username and password
are appropriate.
2. Added the maximum number of cameras. The following message is displayed:
The number of cameras has exceeded the maximum limit’
