Usedtoreceiveaudiosignalsfromanexternalaudiodevice,
suchasastereosystem.Whenyouattachanexternalaudio
devicetoyourcomputer,connectthecabletotheaudioline-out
connectorofthedeviceandtheaudioline-inconnectorofthe
computer.
2Audioline-outconnector(frontspeaker
connector)
Usedtosendaudiosignalsfromthecomputertoexternalaudio
devices,suchaspoweredstereospeakers(speakerswithbuilt-in
ampliers),multimediakeyboards,ortheaudioline-inconnector
onastereosystemorotherexternalrecordingdevices.
Whenusedwith5.1or7.1surroundspeakers,thisconnector
shouldbeattachedtothefrontleftandrightspeakers.
3MicrophoneconnectorUsedtoattachamicrophonetoyourcomputerwhenyouwant
torecordsoundorifyouusespeech-recognitionsoftware.
4HeadphoneconnectorUsedtoattachheadphonestoyourcomputerwhenyouwantto
listentomusicorothersoundswithoutdisturbinganyone.This
connectormightbelocatedonthefrontofthecomputer.
5Audioline-outconnector(subwoofer/center
speakerconnector)
Whenusedwith5.1or7.1surroundspeakers,thisconnector
shouldbeattachedtothecenterspeakerandsubwoofer.
6Audioline-outconnector(rearspeaker
connector)
Whenusedwith5.1or7.1surroundspeakers,thisconnector
shouldbeattachedtotherearleftandrightspeakers.
