Replacingtheremovablebattery
Beforeyoustart,printtheseinstructions.ReadtheImportantsafetyinformationfirst,see“Importantsafety
information”onpagevi.
ThissystemsupportsonlybatteriesspeciallydesignedforthisspecificsystemandmanufacturedbyLenovo
oranauthorizedbuilder.Thesystemdoesnotsupportunauthorizedbatteriesorbatteriesdesignedforother
systems.Ifanunauthorizedbatteryorabatterydesignedforanothersystemisinstalled,thesystemwill
notcharge.
Attention:Lenovohasnoresponsibilityfortheperformanceorsafetyofunauthorizedbatteries,and
providesnowarrantiesforfailuresordamagearisingoutoftheiruse.
Note:Ifanunauthorizedbatteryisinstalled,thefollowingmessagewillbedisplayed:
“Thebatteryinstalledisnotsupportedbythissystemandwillnotcharge.Pleasereplacethebattery
withthecorrectLenovobatteryforthissystem.”
DANGER
Iftherechargeablebatteryisincorrectlyreplaced,thereisdangerofanexplosion.Thebattery
containsasmallamountofharmfulsubstances.Toavoidpossibleinjury:
•ReplaceonlywithabatteryofthetyperecommendedbyLenovo.
•Keepthebatterypackawayfromfire.
•Donotexposeittoexcessiveheat.
•Donotexposeittowaterorrain.
•Donotshort-circuitit.
•Donotdrop,crush,orpuncturethebattery,ormakeitsubjecttostrongforces.Batteryabuseor
mishandlingcancausethebatterytooverheat,whichcancausegassesorflameto“vent”from
thebatterypackorcoin-cellbattery.

Important:Beforeyoureplacetheremovablebattery,ensurethatthebuilt-inbatteryhasenough
remainingpowerorthecomputerisconnectedtoacpower.Otherwise,thecomputermightshut
downduringthebatteryreplacement.
