Thisprocedureprovidesinformationonhowtoremoveandreplacethediskettedrive.

Toremoveorreplacethediskettedrive,dothefollowing:

1.Removethecomputercover.See"Removingthecover"onpage68.

2.Removethefrontbezel.See"Removingandreplacingthefrontbezel"onpage71.

3.Disconnectthesignalandpowercablesfromtherearofthediskettedrive.

4.Pressthereleasebuttonandslidethediskettedriveoutthefrontofthecomputer.

5.Removetheretainerbracketfromthefailingdiskettedriveandinstallitonthenewdiskettedrive.

6.Slidethenewdiskettedriveintothedrivebayuntilitsnapsintoposition.

7.Connectthesignalandpowercablestothedrive.
