Problem:Thepointerdriftswhenthecomputeristurnedonorafteritresumesnormaloperation.
Solution:ThepointermightdriftwhenyouarenotusingtheTrackPointpointingdeviceduringnormal
operation.ThisisanormalcharacteristicoftheTrackPointpointingdeviceandisnotadefect.Pointer
driftingmightoccurforseveralsecondsunderthefollowingconditions:
Whenthecomputeristurnedon
Whenthecomputerresumesnormaloperation
WhentheTrackPointpointingdeviceiskeptpressedforalongtime
Whenthetemperaturechanges
Problem:TheTrackPointpointingdeviceortouchpaddoesnotwork.
Solution:MakesurethattheTrackPointpointingdeviceortouchpadisenabledintheUltraNavDevice
Settingwindow.
Note:ToopentheUltraNavDeviceSettingwindow,gotoControlPanelandclickHardwareandSound
Mouse,andthenclicktheUltraNavtab.
Keyboardproblems
Problem:Allorsomekeysonthekeyboarddonotwork.
Solution:Ifanexternalnumerickeypadisconnected:
1.Turnoffthecomputer.
2.Removetheexternalnumerickeypad.
3.Turnonthecomputerandtryusingthekeyboardagain.
Ifthekeyboardproblemisresolved,carefullyreconnecttheexternalnumerickeypadandtheexternal
keyboard.Makesurethatyouhaveseatedtheconnectorscorrectly.
Iftheproblempersists,makesurethatthecorrectdevicedriverisinstalled.
1.GotoControlPanel.ChangetheviewofControlPanelfromCategorytoLargeiconsorSmallicons.
2.ClickKeyboard.
3.SelecttheHardwaretab.IntheDevicePropertiespane,makesurethatyouseethismessage:
DeviceStatus:Thisdeviceisworkingproperly.
Ifkeysonthekeyboardstilldonotwork,havethecomputerserviced.
Problem:Allorsomekeysontheexternalnumerickeypaddonotwork.
Solution:Makesurethattheexternalnumerickeypadiscorrectlyconnectedtothecomputer.

Computerscreenproblems
Problem:Thescreenisblank.
Solution:Dothefollowing:
PressF6tobringuptheimage.
Ifyouareusingtheacpoweradapter,orusingthebatteryandthePowerManagerbatterygauge
showsthatthebatteryisnotdepleted,pressF8tomakethescreenbrighter.
Ifyourcomputerisinsleepmode,pressFntoresumefromthesleepmode.
