CollectingandrecyclingadisusedLenovocomputerormonitor

IfyouareacompanyemployeeandneedtodisposeofaLenovocomputeror

monitorthatisthepropertyofthecompany,youmustdosoinaccordancewith

theLawforPromotionofEffectiveUtilizationofResources.Computersand

monitorsarecategorizedasindustrialwasteandshouldbeproperlydisposed

ofbyanindustrialwastedisposalcontractorcertiedbyalocalgovernment.

InaccordancewiththeLawforPromotionofEffectiveUtilizationofResources,

LenovoJapanprovides,throughitsPCCollectingandRecyclingServices,forthe

collecting,reuse,andrecyclingofdisusedcomputersandmonitors.Fordetails,

PursuanttotheLawforPromotionofEffectiveUtilizationofResources,

thecollectingandrecyclingofhome-usedcomputersandmonitorsbythe

manufacturerwasbegunonOctober1,2003.Thisserviceisprovidedfreeof

DisposingofaLenovocomputercomponents

SomeLenovocomputerproductssoldinJapanmayhavecomponentsthat

containheavymetalsorotherenvironmentalsensitivesubstances.Toproperly

disposeofdisusedcomponents,suchasaprintedcircuitboardordrive,usethe

methodsdescribedaboveforcollectingandrecyclingadisusedcomputeror

monitor.

DisposingofdisusedlithiumbatteriesfromLenovocomputers

Abutton-shapedlithiumbatteryisinstalledonthesystemboardofyourLenovo

computertoprovidepowertothecomputerclockwhilethecomputerisoffor

disconnectedfromthemainpowersource.Ifyouwanttoreplaceitwithanew

one,contactyourplaceofpurchaseoraskforarepairserviceprovidedbyLenovo.

Ifyouhavereplaceditbyyourselfandwanttodisposeofthedisusedlithium

battery,insulateitwithvinyltape,contactyourplaceofpurchase,andfollowtheir

instructions.IfyouuseaLenovocomputerathomeandneedtodisposeofa

lithiumbattery,youmustcomplywithlocalordinancesandregulations.

DisposingadisusedbatterypackfromLenovonotebookcomputers

YourLenovonotebookcomputerhasalithiumionbatterypackoranickelmetal
