Solution:Toswitchfromonedevicetoanother(forexample,fromaspeakertoaheadphone,orfrom
anexternalmicrophonetoabuilt-inmicrophone),dothefollowing:
1.GotoControlPanel,andensurethatyouviewControlPanelbyCategory.
2.ClickHardwareandSound.
3.ClicktheSmartAudioicon.
4.EnsurethatthecomputerisinMULTI-STREAMmodeintheDeviceadvancedsettingswindow.
5.IntheVolumeMixerwindow,selectthedeviceyouwant,forexample,speakers.
6.Playanysoundthroughamusicprogram(forexample,WindowsMediaPlayer).Ensurethatsound
comesfromthespeakersnow.
7.Then,ifyouwouldliketoswitchtoaheadphone,closethemusicprogram.
8.GototheVolumeMixerwindow.Thenselectanotherdevice(forexample,theheadphone).
9.Playanysoundthroughthemusicprogram.Ensurethatsoundcomesfromtheheadphoneattached
directlytothesystem.Formoreinformation,seethehelpinformationsystemoftheSmartAudio
program.
Note:TheVolumeMixerwindowofSmartAudiodisplaysallaudiodevicesdetectedinthesystem,
suchasspeakersforaplaybackdevice,orabuilt-inmicrophoneforarecordingdevice.Acheck
markbesidetheaudiodeviceshowsthatthedevicehasbeenselected.
Fingerprintreaderproblems
•Problem:Thesurfaceofthereaderisdirty,stained,orwet.
Solution:Gentlycleanthesurfaceofthereaderwithadry,soft,lint-freecloth.
•Problem:Thereaderoftenfailstoenrollorauthenticateyourfingerprint.
Solution:Ifthesurfaceofthereaderisdirty,stained,orwet,gentlycleanthesurfaceofthereader
withadry,soft,lint-freecloth.

Batteryproblems
•Problem:Thebatterycannotbefullychargedinthestandardchargetimewhenthecomputerispowered
off.
Solution:Thebatterymightbeover-discharged.Dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputer.
2.Ensurethattheover-dischargedbatteryisinthecomputer.
3.Connecttheacpoweradaptertothecomputerandletitcharge.
Ifaquickchargerisavailable,useittochargetheover-dischargedbattery.
Ifthebatterycannotbefullychargedin24hours,useanewbattery.
•Problem:Thecomputershutsdownbeforethebatterystatusiconshowsthatthebatteryisempty.
Solution:Dischargeandrechargethebattery.
•Problem:Thecomputeroperatesafterthebatterystatusiconshowsthatthebatteryisempty.
