Solution:Youcannotchargethebatterywhenitistoohot.Ifthebatteryfeelshot,removeitfromthe

computerandwaitforawhiletoletitcooltoroomtemperature.Afteritcools,reinstallitandrechargethe

battery.Ifitstillcannotbecharged,haveitserviced.

acpoweradapterproblem

Problem:Theacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputerandtheworkingelectricaloutlet,butthe

poweradapter(powerplug)iconisnotdisplayedintheWindowsnotiﬁcationarea.Theacpowerindicator

alsodoesnotlightup.

Solution:Dothefollowing:

1.Ensurethattheconnectionoftheacpoweradapteriscorrect.Forinstructionsonhowtoconnectthe

acpoweradapter,see“Usingtheacpoweradapter”onpage24

2.Iftheconnectionoftheacpoweradapteriscorrect,turnoffthecomputer,andthendisconnecttheac

poweradapterandremovetheremovablebattery.

3.Reinstallthebatteryandreconnecttheacpoweradapter,andthenturnonthecomputer.

4.IfthepoweradaptericonstillisnotdisplayedintheWindowsnotiﬁcationarea,havetheacpower

adapterandyourcomputerserviced.

Powerproblems

•Problem:Mycomputerisgettingnopoweratall.

Solution:Checkthefollowingitems:

1.Verifythepowerbutton.Thepowerbuttonisilluminatedwheneverthecomputerison.

2.Checkallpowerconnections.Removeanypowerstripsandsurgeprotectorstoconnecttheac

poweradapterdirectlytotheacpoweroutlet.

3.Inspecttheacpoweradapter.Checkforanyphysicaldamage,andensurethatthepowercableis

ﬁrmlyattachedtotheadapterbrickandthecomputer.

4.Verifythattheacpowersourceisworkingbyattachinganotherdevicetotheoutlet.

•Problem:Mycomputerdoesnotrunonbatterypower.

Solution:Checkthefollowingitems:

1.Removeandreinstalltheremovablebatterytoensurethatitisproperlyconnected.

2.Ifthebatteryrunsoutofpower,attachtheacpoweradaptertorechargethebattery.

3.Ifthebatteryischargedbutthecomputerdoesnotrun,replacethebatterywithanewone.

Solution:Turnoffthecomputerbypressingandholdingthepowerbuttonforfoursecondsormore.
