Usingthefingerprintreader
Dependingonthemodel,yourcomputermighthaveafingerprintreader.Fingerprintauthenticationcan
replaceyourpasswords,suchastheWindowspassword,power-onpassword,andharddiskpassword.In
thisway,youcanlogintoyourcomputersimplyandsecurely.
Youcansetthefingerprintreaderinthefingerprintprogramifavailable.Youalsocanchangethesettings

Enrollingyourfingerprints
Toenablefingerprintauthentication,enrollyourfingerprintsfirst.Duringtheenrollment,thefingerprintsare
associatedwiththeWindowspasswordautomatically.Itisrecommendedthatyouenrollmorethanone
fingerprintincaseofanyinjuriestoyourfingers.
Toenrollyourfingerprints,dothefollowing:
1.OpentheStartmenuandthenclickSettings➙Accounts➙Sign-inoptions.
2.Followtheinstructionsonthescreentofinishtheenrollment.
Scanningyourfinger
Toscanyourfinger,tapthefingerprintreaderwiththetopjointofyourfingerandholdyourfingertherefor
oneortwosecondswithalittlepressure.Thenliftthefingertocompleteonescan.
