EnteringtheIntelRSTconfigurationutility
ThistopicprovidesinstructionsonhowtoentertheIntelRSTconfigurationutility.
EnablingRAIDfromThinkPadSetup
IfRAIDisdisabled,youmustenableitmanuallybeforeenteringtheIntelRSTconfigurationutility.
ToenableRAID,dothefollowing:
1.Restartthecomputer.Whenthelogoscreenisdisplayed,pressF1tostarttheThinkPadSetupprogram.
2.SelectConfig➙RAID➙RAIDModeOption➙Enabled.
3.SelectRAIDStorage,pressEnter,andthenselecteitherSATAHDDorM.2SSDdependingonwhich
typeofinternalstoragedrivesareinstalled.
4.PressF10tosavechangesandexit.
EnteringtheIntelRSTconfigurationutility
ToentertheIntelRSTconfigurationutility,dothefollowing:
1.Restartthecomputer.Whenthelogoscreenisdisplayed,pressF1tostarttheThinkPadSetupprogram.
2.SelectConfig➙RAID➙Intel(R)RapidStorageTechnologyandthenpressEntertoopentheIntel
(R)RapidStorageTechnologywindow.
ThefollowingoptionsaredisplayedafteryouentertheIntelRSTconfigurationutility:
•CreateRAIDVolume:ThisoptionisusedtocreateaRAIDvolume.Ifnointernalstoragedrivescan
beused,thisoptionisnotavailable.
•RAIDVolumes:ThisoptionisusedtoconfirmtheinformationofthecreatedRAIDvolumes.
•Non-RAIDPhysicalDisks:Thisoptionisusedtoconfirmtheinformationofallnon-RAIDdrives.
Presstheupanddownarrowkeystoselectanoption.PressEntertoenterthemenufortheselectedoption.
PressEsctoexittheIntelRSTconfigurationutility.
CreatingRAIDvolumes
ThistopicprovidesinstructionsonhowtousetheIntelRSTconfigurationutilitytocreateRAIDvolumes.
Attention:AlltheexistingdatastoredontheselecteddriveswillbeerasedwhiletheRAIDvolumeisbeing
created.
TocreateaRAIDvolume,dothefollowing:
1.EntertheIntelRSTconfigurationutility.See“EnteringtheIntelRSTconfigurationutility”onpage.
2.PresstheupanddownarrowkeystoselectCreateRAIDVolume,andthenpressEntertoopen
theCREATERAIDVOLUMEwindow.
3.Presstheupanddownarrowkeystoselectandconfiguretheoptionsonebyone.
a.Name:YoucanusethedefaultnameortypeapreferrednamefortheRAIDvolume.
b.RAIDLevel:YoucanpressEntertochangetheRAIDtooneofthefollowing:
