Usingthefingerprintreader
Dependingonthemodel,yourcomputermighthaveafingerprintreader.Fingerprintauthenticationcan
replaceyourpasswords,suchastheWindowspassword,power-onpassword,andharddiskpassword.In
thisway,youcanlogintoyourcomputersimplyandsecurely.
Toenablefingerprintauthentication,enrollyourfingerprintsfirst.Duringtheenrollment,thefingerprintsare
associatedwiththeWindowspasswordautomatically.Toassociateyourfingerprintswithyourpower-on
passwordandharddiskpassword,manuallycreateaconnection.
Enrollingyourfingerprints
Toenrollyourfingerprints,dothefollowing:

1.StarttheFingerprintManagerProprogram.ForinstructionsonhowtostarttheFingerprintManager
Proprogram,see“Lenovoprograms”onpage13.
2.EntertheWindowspasswordasrequired.
3.Clicktheiconforthefingerthatyouwanttoenroll,andconstantlyswipeyourcorrespondingfinger
acrossthefingerprintreaderuntiltheenrollmentcompletes.
4.ClickFinish.Yourfingerprintisenrolledsuccessfully.
