An introduction to Lenovo programs

the programs might not be available.
The available programs are subject to change without notice. To learn more about the programs and other

Access Connections™
(Windows 7)
This program is a connectivity assistant for creating and managing location
profiles. Each location profile stores network settings required for connecting to
a network infrastructure from a specific location such as home or office.
This program enables you to switch between location profiles when you move
your computer from place to place. Therefore, you can quickly and easily
connect to a network without manually reconfiguring your settings and restarting
the computer each time.
Active Protection System™
(Windows 7)
This program protects your internal storage drive when the shock sensor inside
your computer detects a condition that could damage the drive. Such a
condition includes system tilt, excessive vibration, or shock.
The internal storage drive is less vulnerable to damage when it is not operating.
This is because the drive stops spinning, and the read and write heads of the
drive might also be moved to areas without data.
When detecting that the environment is stable again (minimal change in system
tilt, vibration, or shock), the shock sensor enables the internal storage drive.
Communications Utility
(Windows 7)
This program enables you to configure settings for the integrated camera and
audio devices.
Fingerprint Manager Pro, Lenovo
Fingerprint Manager, or Lenovo
Touch Fingerprint Software
(Windows 7)
If your computer has a fingerprint reader, this program enables you to enroll your
fingerprint and associate it with your passwords. As a result, fingerprint
authentication can replace your passwords and enable simple and secure user
access.
Hotkey Features Integration
(Windows 7 and Windows 10)
This software enables F1–F12 special keys and buttons on your computer. For
example, when the microphone mute key or button is pressed, the microphone
state switches between mute and unmute. The mute state indicator is displayed
on the screen whenever the mute state is changed.
