Note:Whenyouconnectanexternaldisplay,avideointerfacecablewithaferritecoreisrequired.
1.Connecttheexternaldisplaytoanappropriatevideoconnectoronyourcomputer,suchastheVGA
connector,miniDisplayPortconnector,orHDMIconnector.
2.Connecttheexternaldisplaytoanelectricaloutlet.
3.Turnontheexternaldisplay.
Ifyourcomputercannotdetecttheexternaldisplay,dothefollowing:
–ForWindows7,Windows8,andWindows8.1
Right-clickonthedesktop,thenclickScreenresolution➙Detect.
–ForWindows10
Right-clickonthedesktop,thenclickDisplaysettings➙Detect.
•Connectingawirelessdisplay
Note:Touseawirelessdisplay,ensurethatbothyourcomputerandtheexternaldisplaysupportthe
Wi-DiorMiracastfeature.

OpentheStartmenuandclickDevicesandPrinters➙Addadevice
–ForWindows8andWindows8.1
1.Moveyourpointertothetop-rightorbottom-rightcornerofthescreentodisplaythecharms.
2.ClickDevices➙Projector➙Addawirelessdisplay.
3.Selectthedesiredwirelessdisplayandfollowtheinstructionsonthescreen.
–ForWindows10
Dooneofthefollowing:
–OpentheStartmenuandclickSettings➙Devices➙Connecteddevices➙Addadevice.
–Clicktheactioncentericononthetaskbar.ClickMediaconnect.Selectthedesiredwireless
displayandfollowtheinstructionsonthescreen.
Formoreinformation,refertotheWindowshelpinformationsystem.
Choosingadisplaymode
Youcandisplayyourdesktopandappsonthecomputerdisplay,theexternaldisplay,orboth.Tochoose
howtodisplaythevideooutput,pressthedisplay-modeswitchingkeyandthenselectadisplay
modeyouprefer.
Therearefourdisplaymodes:
•Disconnect:Displaysthevideooutputonlyonyourcomputerscreen.
Note:Dependingonthesituation,youmightseeDisconnect,PCscreenonly,Computeronly,or
Disconnectprojector.
•Duplicate:Displaysthesamevideooutputonbothyourcomputerscreenandanexternaldisplay.
•Extend:Extendsthevideooutputfromyourcomputerdisplaytoanexternaldisplay.Youcandragand
moveitemsbetweenthetwodisplays.
•Projectoronly:Showsthevideooutputonlyonanexternaldisplay.
Note:Dependingonthesituation,youmightseeProjectoronlyorSecondscreenonly.
