Associatingyourfingerprintswithyourpower-onpasswordandharddiskpassword
Toassociateyourfingerprintswithyourpower-onpasswordandharddiskpassword,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffandthenturnonthecomputer.
2.Whenprompted,swipeyourfingeroverthefingerprintreader.
3.Enteryourpower-onpassword,harddiskpassword,orbothasrequired.Theconnectioniscreated.
Whenyoustartthecomputeragain,youcanuseyourfingerprintstologintothecomputerwithnoneedto
enteryourWindowspassword,power-onpassword,andharddiskpassword.
Attention:Ifyoualwaysuseyourfingerprinttologintothecomputer,youmightforgetyourpasswords.
Writedownyourpasswords,andkeeptheminasafeplace.Ifyouforgetyourpower-onpassword,youmust
takeyourcomputertoaLenovoauthorizedserviceroramarketingrepresentativetohavethepassword
canceled.Ifyouforgetyourharddiskpassword,Lenovocannotresetyourpasswordorrecoverdata
fromtheharddiskdrive.YoumusttakeyourcomputertoaLenovoauthorizedserviceroramarketing
representativetohavetheharddiskdrivereplaced.Proofofpurchaseisrequired,andafeewillbecharged
forpartsandservice.

YoucansetthefingerprintreaderintheFingerprintManagerProprogramifavailable.Youalsocanchange
someadvancedsettingsintheThinkPadSetupprogram.
