•Rememberyourpasswords.Ifyouforgetasupervisororharddiskpassword,Lenovowillnotresetit,and
youmighthavetoreplaceyoursystemboardorsolid-statedrive.
Takingcareofthefingerprintreader
Thefollowingactionscoulddamagethefingerprintreaderorcauseitnottoworkproperly:
•Scratchingthesurfaceofthefingerprintreaderwithahard,pointedobject.
•Scrapingthesurfaceofthefingerprintreaderwithyourfingernailoranythinghard.
•Usingortouchingthefingerprintreaderwithadirtyfinger.
Ifyounoticeanyofthefollowingconditions,gentlycleanthesurfaceofthefingerprintreaderwithadry,
soft,lint-freecloth:
•Thesurfaceofthefingerprintreaderisdirtyorstained.
•Thesurfaceofthefingerprintreaderiswet.
•Thefingerprintreaderoftenfailstoenrollorauthenticateyourfingerprint.

Besurenottomodifyyourcomputer
•OnlyanauthorizedThinkPadrepairtechnicianshoulddisassembleandrepairyourcomputer.
•Donotmodifyortapethelatchestokeepthedisplayopenorclosed.
Cleaningthecoverofyourcomputer
Occasionallycleanyourcomputerbydoingthefollowing:
1.Prepareamixtureofagentlekitchen-usedetergent.Thedetergentmustnotcontainabrasivepowderor
strongchemicalssuchasacidoralkaline.Usefivepartswatertoonepartdetergent.
2.Absorbthediluteddetergentintoasponge.
3.Squeezeexcessliquidfromthesponge.
4.Wipethecoverwiththesponge,usingacircularmotionandtakingcarenottoletanyexcessliquiddrip.
5.Wipethesurfacetoremovethedetergent.
6.Rinsethespongewithcleanrunningwater.
7.Wipethecoverwiththecleansponge.
8.Wipethesurfaceagainwithadry,soft,lint-freecloth.
9.Waitforthesurfacetodrycompletelyandremoveanyfibersfromthecloth.
Cleaningyourcomputerkeyboard
Tocleanthecomputerkeyboard,dothefollowing:
1.Applysomeisopropylrubbingalcoholtoasoft,dust-freecloth.
Note:Avoidsprayingcleanerdirectlyontothekeyboard.
2.Wipeeachkeytopsurfacewiththecloth.Wipethekeysonebyone;ifyouwipeseveralkeysatatime,
theclothmighthookontoanadjacentkeyandpossiblydamageit.Makesurethatnoliquiddripsonto
orbetweenthekeys.
3.Allowtodry.
