Tipsonusingtheharddiskpasswords
•YoucansettheminimumlengthofaharddiskpasswordthroughtheSecuritymenu.
•Ifyousetaharddiskpasswordofoversevencharacters,thesolid-statedrivecanbeusedonlywitha
computerthatcanrecognizeaharddiskpasswordofoversevencharacters.Ifyoutheninstallthe
solid-statedriveinacomputerthatcannotrecognizeaharddiskpasswordthatcontainsmorethan
sevencharacters,youcannotaccessthedrive.
•Recordyourpasswordandstoreitinasafeplace.Ifyouforgettheuserharddiskpassword,orbothuser
andmasterharddiskpasswords,Lenovocannotresetyourpasswordsorrecoverdatafromthesolid-state
drive.YoumusttakeyourcomputertoaLenovoreselleroramarketingrepresentativetohavethe
solid-statedrivereplaced.Proofofpurchaseisrequired,andafeewillbechargedforpartsandservice.

•Setapower-onpasswordaswellasaharddiskpasswordforyourinternalsolid-statedrive.Refertothe
