Attention:Alwaysgotohttp://www.lenovo.com/ThinkPadDriversforthelatestdevicedrivers.Donot
downloadthemfromtheWindowsUpdateWebsite.
ThinkPadTabletSetupapp
TheThinkPadTabletSetupappenablesyoutoviewandconfigurevarioussetupparameters.Thedefault
configurationsarealreadyoptimizedforyou.Incorrectchangeoftheconfigurationsmightcauseunexpected
results.
OpeningtheThinkPadTabletSetupapp
ToopentheThinkPadTabletSetupapp,dothefollowing:

youskipthepasswordprompt,youstillcanopentheThinkPadTabletSetupappbutyoucannotchange

1.Restartthetablet.
2.Taparound“PressEnterortouchhere”untiltheThinkPadTabletSetupappstarts.

•Securitymenu:Setthesupervisorpasswordandconfigureothersecurityfeaturesofyourtablet.
•Startupmenu:Changethetabletstartupsettings.
•Restartmenu:ChooseanoptionforexitingtheThinkPadTabletSetupappandrestartingthesystem.
Oneachmenu,tapthedefaultvaluetoshowselectableoptionsandtapadesiredoptiontoselectit.Follow
theinstructionsonthescreentoconfigurethesettings.Afteryouchangethesettings,tapRestart,and
thentapyourdesiredoptiontorestartthetablet.
UpdatingtheUEFIBIOS
TheUnifiedExtensibleFirmwareInterfacebasicinput/outputsystem(UEFIBIOS)isapartofthesystem
programsthatmakeupthebasiclayerofsoftwarebuiltintoyourtablet.TheUEFIBIOStranslatesthe
instructionsfromothersoftwarelayers.
