TousearecoveryUSBdrive,dothefollowing:
1.Ensurethatyourtabletisconnectedtoacpower.
2.ConnecttherecoveryUSBdrivetothetablet.
3.OpentheThinkPadTabletSetupapp.See“ThinkPadTabletSetupapp”onpage51.
4.TapStartup.IntheBootsubmenu,dragtherecoverydrivetothefirstplacetoselectitastheboot
device.
5.Saveconfigurationchangesandrestartthetablet.
6.Selectacorrespondingrecoverysolutionaccordingtoyoursituation.Thenfollowtheinstructionson
thescreentocompletetheprocess.

startupdevice.
5.TapSave,andthentapY estosaveyourconfiguration.
6.TapRestartandfollowtheon-screeninstructionstorestartthetablet.Afterthetabletrestarts,the
recoveryapprunsautomatically.
7.Followtheon-screeninstructionstoresetyourtablettothefactorydefaultsettings.
