videocapturing,andvideoconferencing.Tousetheintegratedcamerawithotherprograms,openoneofthe
programsandstartthephotographing,videocapturing,orvideoconferencingfunction.Then,thecamera
willstartautomaticallyandthegreencamera-in-useindicatorwillturnon.Formoreinformationaboutusing
thecamerawithaprogram,refertothehelpinformationsystemoftheprogram.
IfyoudonotwantthecameratobelaunchedautomaticallywhenyoupressFn+F6orwhenyouusea
program,pressFn+F6toopentheCommunicationsSettingswindowandclicktheHidemyvideoimage
buttontodisablethecamera.
Conguringcamerasettings
Congurethecamerasettingstomeetyourneeds,suchasadjustingthequalityofthevideooutput.
Tocongurethecamerasettings,dothefollowing:
1.PressFn+F6.TheCommunicationsSettingswindowopens.
2.ClicktheManageSettingsbutton.TheCommunicationsUtilitywindowopens.
3.IntheCommunicationsUtilitywindow,congurethecamerasettingsdependingonyourindividual
needs.
Adjustingthevideooutputqualityofyourcamera
Toadjustthequalityofthevideooutputofyourcamera,dothefollowing:
1.OpentheCommunicationsUtilitywindow.
2.ClickAdvancedcamerasettings.ThePropertieswindowopens.
3.Congurethesettingsandselectanimagequalityvalue.Thefollowingvaluesareavailable:
•SpeedPriority:Itgivesyouafasterframerateforthebestreal-timevideoconferencingduringthe
day.However,atnightorinadarkenvironment,theimagedoesnothavethebestquality.
•Balance:Thisgivesyouabalancebetweenspeedandimagequality.Theimageobtainedatnightor
inadarkenvironmentisbetterthanwithSpeedPriority.
•Imagequalitypriority:Thisgivesyouahigh-qualityvideoandthebestimageatanytimeofthe
day.Theimageisveryclearevenatnightorinadarkenvironment,butattheexpenseofframe
rate.Thevideostreamingmightslowdown.
UsingtheLenovoAutoLockfunction
Tohelpprotectagainstunauthorizeduse,theLenovoAutoLockfunctionenablesthecomputertolock
automaticallywhentheintegratedcameracannotdetectanyfacialfeatureafterthecomputerisleft
unattendedforawhile.
Tousethisfunction,openControlPanelandclickSystemandSecurity➙Lenovo-Camera-enhanced
security.Thenenablethefunctionandcongurethesettingsbyfollowingtheinstructionsonthescreen.
