Deletinglockedprofiles
TherearetwowaystodeletealockedAccessConnectionsprofile.
1.UninstallAccessConnectionsandchooseNowhenaskedtosaveexistingprofiles.
2.Todeletelockedprofilesremotelycompletethefollowingsteps:
•Createanotherdeploymentpackagewiththesameprofile(s),nameandpassphraseastheoriginally
deploymentpackage,butwiththeprofiletobeunlockedsettoAllowallchanges/Allowdeletion.
•Deploythe.loafilethatyoucreatedtoclientsystems.
•Usefollowingcommandtodeletetheprofile:
<path>\qctray.exe/del<locationprolename>
UpdatingdeployedProfiles
Toupdateyourcurrentlydeployedprofilestonewencryptionandsecuritysettings,youwillhavetocreate
anotherdeploymentpackagewiththedesiredsettings,butwiththesamenameandpassphraseofthe
originaldeploymentpackage.Deploythisnewlycreatedpackagetoclientsystems.
UpgradeAccessConnectionsonexistingcomputers
ToupgradeAccessConnectionstonewerversionandmigratetheexistinglocationprofilesonexistingclient
computers,completeoneofthefollowingsteps:
1.CreateanintegratedpackagewiththenewversionofAccessConnections,recommendedversionof
wirelessLANdriver/application,HotkeyFn+F5utility,andPowerManagementdriver.Deploythis
packagetotheclientsystemsandrestartthesystem.
2.DownloadthelatestversionofAccessConnectionsforyourspecificoperatingsystemandinstallasper
instructionsintheREADMEfile.PleasealsonoteintheREADME,thepossiblenewrequirementsof
wirelessLANdriver/application,HotkeyFn+F5utility,andPowerManagementdrivertobeinstalled
aswell.
3.RunThinkVantageSystemUpdatewithaninternetconnectiontodownloadandinstallupdatestoAccess
Connections,wirelessLANdriver/application,HotkeyFn+F5utility,andPowerManagementdriver.
