Replacing the thermal fan (Lenovo G50-30/
G50-45/G50-70/G50-70m/G50-80/G50-80 Touch/
Z50-70/Z50-75) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
To replace the thermal fan, do the following:
1 Tu rn off the computer. Disconnect the AC power adapter and all cables
from the computer.
2 Close the computer display and turn the computer over.
3 Remove the battery pack.
4 Remove the Optical drive/Hard disk drive/Memory/Central processing
unit/Mini PCI Express Card slot compartment cover.
5 Disconnect the thermal fan connector in the direction shown by
arrow .
Note: For the Lenovo G40-30/G50-30, select models (computers with UMA architecture) do
not have a thermal fan.
Note: Be careful not to damage the thermal fan connector.
