4.2.5 Operation with increased power at a 230 V mains
The controller can be operated with i ncreased continuous power (120% P

)onamore
powerful motor. The overload capacity remains constant as if operated with a continuous
power of 100%; the information about the percentage values provided for the overload
phases still refers to rated data of 100%. Typical application cases include drives for units
with quadratic load characteristics such as pumps and fans.

Operation with increased power is only permitted ...

ƒ In the stated mains voltage range.
ƒ At switching frequencies of 2 kHz and 4 kHz.
ƒ At a max. ambient temperature of 40 °C.
ƒ With the stated installation types.
ƒ With the fuses, cable cross-sections, mains chokes and filters required for
this type of operation.
ƒ After parameterisation acc. to specification (cp. software manual
EDS84AV...)
