Tip!
For a better understanding, in the following examples, the converted percentages referring
to the limit values 2
31
-1 and -(2
31
) are entered instead of the real DINT values.
5.164.1 Selection of the characteristic
The up to 127 points of the characteristic are selected via the subcodes of C04046 and C04047.
• The same subcodes of C04046 and C04047 correspond to a pair of variates/point (x
n
, y
n
).
• The first pair of variates (C04046/1 and C04047/1) is always valid.
• The x values of the characteristic must be entered in ascending order (x1<x2<…<x127).
• If the ascending chain of x values is interrupted, this corresponds to the end of the characteristic
(in the example X5 < X4):
• Based on the last valid pair of variates, an extrapolation is executed to the end of the x value
range (2
31
)-1 on both sides.
• In the characteristic modes 1 and 2, only the range of the characteristic entered in the quadrants
I. and IV. is used.
C04046/1...127 -2147483648 2147483647 X values of the characteristic func-
tion
• Subcodes 1 ... 127 correspond to
the point values X1 ... X127.

C04047/1...127 -2147483648 2147483647 Y values of the characteristic func-
tion
• Subcodes 1 ... 127 correspond to
the point values Y1 ... Y127.
